Female First has an exclusive interview with On Stranger Tides star Astrid Berges Frisbey, who played the mermaid Syrena. Among many other topics discussed, was the relationships between Syrena and Philip, the virtuous missionary played by Sam Claflin:
“But I think that this is an interesting point in the story as they learn to trust each other and I think because of Philip she appears a bit more human – and at some point she is even more human than the real humans in the movie.”
